André Villiers, former deputy for the 2nd constituency of Yonne for the Horizons et apparentés party, is a long-standing lobbyist for Azerbaijan.
He has been a regular visitor to Azerbaijan since 2011, and is a member of the board of directors of the Association des Amis de l'Azerbaïdjan, as were former elected representatives Rachida Dati, Jean-Marie Bockel and Thierry Mariani.

The ex-farmer's travels paid off, with nearly 1,200 cattle exported to the Azerbaijani dictatorship between 2011 and 2014.

Also a member of the France-Azerbaijan Friendship Group since its inception, André Villiers is constantly extolling the merits of Ilham Aliyev's “democracy”, and in one of his statements refutes the term “fierce dictatorship” to describe his political regime, whose human rights crimes and genocidal policies against minorities are well documented.

Consistent with his commitment to dictatorship, he visits the Azerbaijani Embassy for his events, notably on November 10, 2022 for the Concert organized for “Victory Day”, where he takes the floor to affirm that he is honored to participate in Azerbaijan's “Victory Day”.

Even today, he continues his lobbying work on behalf of Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan uses all available means and relays to obtain silence about its wars and crimes.
